FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are the teachers qualified artists?
Yes, all of our teachers are either in the process of higher education in an art related field, have graduated from accredited art schools, or have had years of experience in fine arts. They all have some level of teaching experience before being hired.

Will there always be a responsible adult present?
Yes, every child will be under adult supervision at all times.
How do I get to the camp?
Our camp’s address is 5801 Frankford Avenue. The camp entrance is located through the parking lot at 4035-55 E. Cheltenham Avenue. It is easily accessible from the Market Frankford Line. Get off at the Frankford Transportation Center stop, walk north on Frankford Ave, and turn right on E. Cheltenham Ave. The park will be on the left hand side.
What happens during rain or other bad weather?
If bad weather occurs, we move all the campers into our building, where we set up tables and continue our art projects.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, every camper is provided one breakfast and one lunch every day. We will distribute menus at the parent orientation meeting. We also have a refrigerator available for campers that choose to bring their lunch to camp in a bag labeled with their names.
What time can I drop off and pick up my child?
Camp begins at 9:00 and ends at 3:00, so we ask that parents drop off and pick up their children within that timeframe, as we do not provide before or after care.
**There will be NO Camp or Recreation staff available before 9 AM!**
What if my child gets hurt at camp?
If your child gets hurt during the day, we will administer appropriate first aid if possible. We also then call
you(parent or guardian) with all information about the injury. If needed, you can pick up your child early.
What if my child gets sick at camp?
If your child gets sick during the day, We immediately bring him/her indoors and call you!
What if my child can't come to camp?
If you need to keep your child home from camp, please call our office at 215-683-1997 and leave a voicemail message. This will keep us from worrying if your child isn't at camp.
